Killer Penny

The Killer Penny is a custom Luxeon powered saber that was machined from 3D models created by Orbital Machining. This particular piece owes it’s name to the large amount of copper that was used in it’s construction. We started this project as a manually machined job but a major component was damaged during a machining process and the project was stopped.. Before a new piece was started, the customer decided to have it CNC machined instead so several new features could be added to the design. After producing new 3D models, the final product was machined, weathered, and assembled.
