At Orbital Machining, we've done our best to create a Web site that anticipates and satisfies our customers' needs. With that goal in mind, we've compiled a list of frequently asked questions.  If you can not find your answer here, please contact us at info@orbitalmachining.com .

What kind of work do you do?
We are capable of 4 axis CNC mill work, 2 axis CNC lathe work, engraving, 2D and 3D CAD, and finishing your product.

What are your rates?
We can charge by the hour or give you a quote. Please contact us if you would like to discuss our rates.

How long will my job take?
That depends on the complexity of your job and our current workload. We will give you an estimate of the time frame for completion of your project when we give you a quote. Plus, we like to keep our customers informed of our work progress through regular updates via email.

What payment methods are accepted?
We accept cash, checks, bank issued cashiers checks, and Paypal (however for checks and cashiers checks, we will require that they clear the bank before work begins or product is shipped).

Do you require a deposit?
Yes we require a 50% deposit before your project will begin. Should you cancel before we begin work and order your material, we will issue you a full refund of your deposit.  Should you cancel after your material is ordered, we will refund your deposit minus the cost any materials purchased and any labor performed until the cancellation.  Should you cancel after we have begun your project in earnest, then we will not refund your deposit.

What happens if I don’t pay the balance of my payment?
We will make three attempts to contact you regarding final payment once your product is finished. On our final attempt we will give you notice that you have 15 days to pay or we will be forced to take means to recover our costs. This may include selling your product to a third party.

How do you ship?
We will ship at our discretion unless other arrangements are made with us to use a specific shipping method.  We can use USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL.  Depending on the shipping method, we will try to provide you with a tracking number.
